WisconsinBrown County › Brown County Sheriff

One candidate is tracked for Brown County Sheriff on the November 3, 2026 ballot: Todd J. Delain. Candidate information follows official Brown County election filings; verify with the official election office linked below.

August 11 primary result: Todd J. Delain won the Republican nomination with 18,111 of 18,160 votes cast (99.7 percent, remainder scattered write-ins), per the Brown County Board of Canvassers' certified County Canvass Statement dated August 17, 2026. No named candidate appeared on the Democratic, Constitution, Libertarian or Wisconsin Green primary ballot lines for this office; each of those lines' entire vote total (819 Democratic; 1 Constitution; 1 Libertarian) was certified as 'SCATTERING' with no candidate meeting the threshold to be named, and the canvass's own certification page lists 'SCATTERING' (not a person) as the highest vote-getter on the Democratic line, per the same certified canvass. RULE-0 FLAG: search coverage repeatedly surfaced a 'Sergeant Tim Thomas' as a Democratic challenger to Delain in this race, but every such article that could be dated was actually from the 2018 Delain-vs-Thomas race, not 2026, and no Thomas appears anywhere on the certified 2026 canvass; treat any 'Tim Thomas' 2026 Brown County sheriff coverage as stale/misattributed unless the county certifies a write-in nominee before November. Delain is unopposed on the November 3 ballot per the certified canvass as it stands.
