Josh Davis won the March 3, 2026 Republican primary unopposed (9,265 votes, official results) and, with no Democratic or other candidate on the November 3 sample ballot, appears alone. Per the Texarkana Gazette he is set to succeed current County Judge Bobby Howell in January 2027; Howell does not appear on the ballot.
