Medinah Muhammad is an East Orange school board member who previously served as an aide to Gov. Phil Murphy and as chief of staff to then-Assemblywoman Britnee Timberlake, per the New Jersey Globe. She has also held posts at the New Jersey Economic Development Authority and the state Department of Transportation, and chaired the East Orange Parking Authority.
