Kent County Corrections and Detention Facilities Millage Renewal and Increase is a ballot question for Kent County on the November 3, 2026 ballot. A yes vote authorizes Kent County to levy 0.98 mill ($0.98 per $1,000 of taxable value) from 2026 through 2045 to expand, remodel, equip, operate, maintain and defray debt service for the county's Corrections and Detention Facilities; it renews a millage expiring after the 2029 levy and adds a 0.2468-mill increase. The first-year levy is estimated to raise $37,326,699. It was placed on the ballot by an 11-5 Kent County Board of Commissioners vote, per WOODTV and the Grand Rapids Chamber; ballot language per the Kent County Clerk's official candidate and proposals list.
