Biography

Ruchti graduated from West Point in 1993, served five years in the U.S. Army as a military intelligence officer leaving the Army as a Captain, and earned his law degree from the University of Idaho College of Law, per the campaign site. Ruchti describes serving in the Idaho House of Representatives from 2006 to 2010, returning to the Legislature in 2020, and being elected to the Idaho Senate in 2022, where he is assistant minority leader, per the campaign site.
