Jason Marini earned an undergraduate degree from Wabash College and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Colorado State University, per the county's official biography. He began his career in banking before moving into real estate appraisal, obtaining his appraiser license in 2000 and founding Marini Appraisal Services; he is a Certified General Appraiser with expertise across agricultural, residential, commercial, industrial, oil and gas and pipeline property. He joined the Weld County Assessor's office in 2018 as Chief Deputy Assessor before becoming assessor.
