Stephen Hanks was elected Larimer County Coroner in 2022 and began his first term in January 2023, per the county's official biography. He began his forensic career in 2012 as a Medicolegal Death Investigator and Autopsy Assistant for Larimer County, and holds degrees from Colorado State University, Florida State University and the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He is an Army veteran and a Fort Collins native who now lives in Loveland.
