Biography

Joyia Yorgey is the founder and executive director of Arkansas Asset Builders, a nonprofit that offers free income tax preparation and financial literacy programs to low- and moderate-income households in Central Arkansas, per the campaign site. The campaign site says she grew up in Lawrence, Kansas, moved to Conway in 2015, holds a degree in mathematics from Williams College and a graduate degree in international affairs from American University, and served on Conway's Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board from 2018 to 2020, including as chair in 2020.
