Biography
Zach P Wahls is a Democratic state senator representing Iowa Senate District 43. He gained national attention in 2011 for testifying before the Iowa House Judiciary Committee about growing up with lesbian parents, defending marriage equality. Elected to the Iowa Senate in 2018, he served as Senate Democratic Leader from 2020-2023.
