Venus de la Cruz is a Republican candidate for Cumberland County Commissioner Dist. 2 who chose not to campaign in the GOP primary, stating she wanted to lose and would instead support her husband's campaign and three other Republican candidates. Despite her intention not to campaign, she stated she would actively pursue the seat in the general election if voters chose her in the primary.
