Biography
Ritchie J. Torres was raised in the Bronx by a single mother and grew up in public housing. He became the youngest openly LGBTQ elected official from the Bronx on the New York City Council at age 25. As of 2021, Torres serves as the Congressman for New York's 15th Congressional District.
