Biography
Tommy Calvert is the Bexar County Commissioner for Precinct 4, a position he has held since 2015. He is noted as the youngest and first African-American County Commissioner in Bexar County history. A Democrat, Calvert is a San Antonio native and an alumnus of St. Mary's Hall and Tufts University.
Top Priorities
- Expanding homeownership and housing security, including advocating for housing bonds and supporting owner-occupied rehabilitation.
- Increasing education and vocational training to help residents transition into jobs within the information technology economy.
