Biography
Tina Smith served as Minnesota's 48th Lieutenant Governor from 2015 to 2018 before being appointed to the U.S. Senate in 2017. She won election to her first full 6-year term in November 2020, representing Minnesota. Prior to her public service, Smith worked at General Mills, started her own small business, and held executive roles at Planned Parenthood, later serving as chief of staff for Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak and Governor Mark Dayton.
