Biography
Steve Scalise is a Republican who has represented Louisiana's 1st Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2008. He currently serves as the House Majority Leader, a position he has held since 2023. Prior to his election to Congress, Mr. Scalise served in the Louisiana State Legislature from 1996 to 2008.
