Biography
Kimmel has spent 22 years as a professor of teacher education at Broward College, was the founding assistant principal at Sagemont School, and directed grants for the South Florida Annenberg Challenge, per the campaign site. Kimmel was named Broward County Teacher of the Year in 1996 and holds a doctorate in child, youth, and family studies from Nova Southeastern University, per the campaign site.
