Biography
Sarah Mertens, raised in Bolingbrook, IL, graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor's in Teaching German. After working in health insurance and teaching martial arts, she moved to Crystal Lake, IL, where she founded a fee-free martial arts club and is active in local schools. She is running for election to the Illinois State Senate to represent District 35.
