Biography
Ryan Alter is a member of the Austin City Council, representing District 5 in Texas since January 2023. An engineer trained at UT Austin and a graduate of Harvard Law School, he has focused on policies to create opportunities and improve affordability in Austin. He is also a lifelong Austin-area resident.
