Biography
Ron Wyden is a Democratic U.S. Senator representing Oregon, first elected to the Senate in a special election in January 1996 after serving in the U.S. House from 1981 to 1996. Known for his dedication to hearing all sides of an issue, he holds open-to-all town hall meetings in each of Oregon's 36 counties annually. Senator Wyden serves as Ranking Member of the Senate Finance Committee and is a senior member of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
