Biography
Robert B. Westbrook is an American historian and Joseph F. Cunningham Professor of History Emeritus at the University of Rochester, born in Austin, Minnesota, in 1950. He is known for his extensive work on philosophical pragmatism, including an intellectual biography of John Dewey. In retirement, Westbrook contributes to local historical preservation in Brockport, New York, serving on museum boards.
