Biography
Rex Martin Barbas earned his B.A. and J.D. from Loyola University-New Orleans. He began his legal career as an assistant state attorney in Hillsborough County, later entering private practice. Barbas served as a Circuit Court Judge for Florida's 13th Circuit from 1997 until 2023, also holding the position of Administrative Judge for the Circuit Civil Division.
