Quinnie Perez, the daughter of Mexican immigrants, grew up in Ocala with deep roots in farm life. Inspired by her background, she advocates for the rights and protection of agricultural workers, having witnessed challenges like housing insecurity and low wages firsthand. She is running for Soil and Water Conservation District 1 to champion sustainable practices and ensure dignity and fairness for farm workers.
