Biography
Philip Cortez is a State Representative for District 117, first elected in 2012, and is currently seeking his fifth consecutive term. A retired U.S. Air Force Captain with 20 years of service, he previously served on the San Antonio City Council from 2007 to 2011. Cortez holds a Ph.D. in Educational Administration and represents the Democratic Party.
