Paul Sanford Friedman is a Republican candidate who ran for Representative in Congress for Illinois' 9th Congressional District. A software writer, volunteer, and folk singer, Friedman stated his motivation for running was to fix what he perceives as a broken Congress. He holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan and has no previous political experience.
