Biography
May Nivar is an American politician and business executive who serves as the elected member of the Virginia House of Delegates for the 57th District. A second-generation immigrant born in Philadelphia, Nivar graduated from New York University and had a nearly 30-year corporate career, including at Altria, before being appointed to the Virginia Asian Advisory Board. She assumed office on January 14, 2026, after winning election on November 4, 2025.
