Biography
Mike Thompson was first elected to Congress in 1998 and represents California's 4th Congressional District, per the campaign site. Before Congress he represented the 2nd District in the California State Senate, where he chaired the Budget Committee, per the campaign site. He serves on the House Ways and Means Committee and co-chairs the Congressional Wine Caucus, per the campaign site.
