Mike Schofield

Mike Schofield is currently serving his fifth term in the Texas House of Representatives, representing Katy and parts of Harris County. Prior to his legislative service, he spent 11 years as an advisor to Governor Rick Perry, focusing on issues such as property rights, election integrity, and protection from frivolous lawsuits. He is known for drafting the constitutional amendment to ban a state income tax in Texas and co-sponsoring legislation granting landowners the right to opt out of a city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction.
