Biography
Mike Rounds, a Republican, has served in the United States Senate representing South Dakota since January 2015. Prior to his Senate tenure, he was the 31st Governor of South Dakota from 2003 to 2011 and served five terms in the South Dakota State Senate from 1991 to 2000. A lifelong South Dakotan, Rounds also built a career in the insurance and real estate business.
