Biography
Michael Whatley is a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in North Carolina's 2026 election. A native of Western North Carolina, he has a background in law and public service, including roles at the Department of Energy and as Chief of Staff to Senator Elizabeth Dole. Whatley also served as Chair of the North Carolina Republican Party and later as Chair of the Republican National Committee.
