Biography
Michael Simpson, a Republican, represents Idaho's 2nd Congressional District in the U.S. House, having assumed office on January 3, 1999. An Idaho native, he earned a degree in dental medicine and worked as a dentist before serving in the Blackfoot City Council and the Idaho Legislature, where he was Speaker for six years. He is currently serving his fourteenth term.
