Biography

Michael Strauss, MD, is a practicing internist who completed his medical education in Brussels in 1980 and practiced at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, where he served as site director of the Department of Medicine and then as chief medical officer, per the campaign site. Per the same site, he later practiced internal medicine at the Project Renewal shelter for homeless men in New York City, has lived in Putnam Valley since 2019, and volunteers weekly as an EMT with the Putnam Valley Volunteer Ambulance Corps after training through the Putnam County Department of Emergency Services.
