Biography
Mereda Davis Johnson, a Democrat, serves as the DeKalb County Commissioner for District 5, a position she has held since being elected in 2015. She currently serves as the Presiding Officer of the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners, having been elected by her colleagues in January 2022. A practicing attorney for over 33 years, she is also a co-founder and past president of the DeKalb Lawyers Association.
