Biography
Maurice Cook has dedicated over six decades to public service, beginning with his enlistment in the U.S. Air Force. He served as Texas Ranger Chief from 1992 to 1996 and was elected Bastrop County Sheriff in 2016, re-elected in 2024. In office, Cook has prioritized community involvement, robust training, and sound budget management.
