Biography
A native Chicagoan, State Senator Mattie Hunter has served in the Illinois General Assembly since 2003, currently holding the position of Assistant Majority Leader. She is also the vice chair of the Executive Appointments and Public Health Committees. Hunter holds a bachelor's degree in government, a master's degree in sociology, and is a licensed alcohol and drug counselor and prevention specialist.
