Biography
MATTHEW ROBERT VAN EPPS is the Republican U.S. Representative for Tennessee's 7th Congressional District, sworn into office on December 4, 2025. A West Point graduate and combat-decorated Army helicopter pilot, he is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the Tennessee Army National Guard. Prior to his congressional service, Van Epps served as Tennessee Commissioner of the Department of General Services and as Deputy Chief Operating Officer in the Governor’s Office.
