MARY PELTOLA

Mary Peltola, a Yup’ik Alaska Native from Bethel, Alaska, is running for U.S. Senate in 2026. She previously served as U.S. Representative for Alaska's at-large district from 2022 to 2025, becoming the first Alaska Native and first woman to represent Alaska in Congress. Peltola also held positions in the Alaska House of Representatives and on the Bethel City Council, and led the Kuskokwim River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission.
