Biography

Mary L. Wells is a Des Moines native who earned a bachelor's degree cum laude in business administration from Upper Iowa University and spent more than 20 years in operations management leadership roles at three Fortune 100 companies, per the Polk County government website. She served in the Army National Guard and has been Polk County Treasurer since March 2021, per the same source. No campaign website was found as of September 22, 2026.
