Marpheen Chann

Marpheen Chann became Maine's first Cambodian elected official when he was chosen as an at-large Charter Commissioner for the City of Portland in 2021, per his campaign site. He also served five years on Portland's Planning Board, working on zoning, housing development and sustainability matters, and was born into a refugee family who was later adopted by a working class Maine family, per the same source.
