Mark Sickles

Mark D. Sickles is an American politician and a member of the Democratic Party. He served as a Delegate from the Virginia House of Delegates (43rd and 17th districts) from 2004 to 2026, holding leadership roles such as Chair of the Health, Welfare and Institutions Committee and Vice Chair of the Appropriations Committee, before being appointed Virginia Secretary of Finance in 2026. He is also noted as the second openly gay person elected to the Virginia House of Delegates.
