Biography
Maria L. Scruggs is a nonpartisan candidate who has run for multiple offices in Florida, including Pinellas County Commission and St. Petersburg City Council. A community activist and former St. Petersburg NAACP President, Scruggs is also the founder and CEO of The Phyllis Wheatley Rise to Read Campaign, Inc., and has dedicated over 40 years to public service and nonprofit leadership.
