Biography
Lucia Baez-Geller, the daughter of a Cuban father and Colombian mother, was the first in her family to attend college. She taught English and Language Arts at Miami Beach Senior High for 15 years, connecting with and inspiring thousands of students. In 2020, she was elected to the Miami-Dade County School Board, where she worked to strengthen public schools and ensure every child could succeed.
