Biography
Letitia "Tish" James is the 67th Attorney General for the State of New York, first elected in 2018. A lifelong public servant born and raised in Brooklyn, she is the first woman of color to hold statewide office in New York and the first woman to be elected Attorney General. Since taking office, Attorney General James has focused on lowering costs for working families, holding bad actors accountable, and protecting New Yorkers’ rights and safety.
