Biography
Laura Taddeucci Downs was elected to the Falls Church City Council in a special election in November 2024, later reelected for a four-year term, and chosen by her colleagues to serve as Vice Mayor for 2026 and 2027. Prior to her council service, Downs served a four-year term on the Falls Church City School Board, including two years as Chair, where she helped navigate the COVID-19 pandemic and oversaw the construction of Meridian High School. She moved to Falls Church City in 2009 and has a professional background in Higher Education Administration.
