Biography
Kelly M. Cassidy, a Democrat, has served as a member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing District 14, since May 2011. She is the only openly gay female legislator in the General Assembly and has a background as an LGBT rights activist, organizer, and former legislative director for the National Organization for Women. Prior to her legislative role, she worked in the Cook County State's Attorney's office.
