Biography
Karen Bass is the 43rd Mayor of Los Angeles, the first woman and second African American to hold the office. A former nurse and Physician Assistant, she has a long career in public service, including as Speaker of the California State Assembly and a U.S. Representative, focused on community organizing and tackling complex challenges.
