Biography
Joshua Turek is a Democratic state representative for Iowa House District 20, serving since January 2023. He is Iowa's first permanently disabled legislator, having been born with spina bifida and becoming a wheelchair user. Turek is also a decorated Paralympian, representing the U.S. in wheelchair basketball at four Paralympics and earning multiple gold and bronze medals.
