Biography
José Menéndez is a Democratic State Senator representing District 26 in Texas, a position he has held since 2015. Prior to his Senate service, he was elected to the San Antonio City Council in 1997 and served as a State Representative for House District 124 from 2000 to 2015. The son of immigrants, Menéndez grew up working at his family's small business in San Antonio's West Side.
