Biography
Jonny Antonio Bishop is a Democratic teacher, union leader, and community activist with a background shaped by his working-class upbringing and family roots in Mexico and the Chicago area. He taught U.S. History and served as an elected executive and local delegate for teacher unions. Bishop formally withdrew from the 2026 Democratic primary for Representative in Congress, 5th Congressional District, State of Illinois.
