Biography
John Rutherford, a Republican, is serving his fifth term as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Florida's 5th Congressional District. Prior to his congressional service, Rutherford had a career in law enforcement, including three terms as the sheriff of Duval County, Florida. He currently serves on the House Appropriations Committee.
