Biography
John King is a Republican politician who has served as Georgia's Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner since 2019, making him the state's first Hispanic statewide official. Appointed in 2019 and re-elected in 2022, King has a distinguished background in the U.S. Army National Guard, retiring as a major general, and previously served as Chief of Police for Doraville, Georgia, after starting as an Atlanta police officer.
