John Joseph Mercadante was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and is a graduate of Minuteman Vocational Technical Institute and Northeast Institute of Industrial Technology. His career experience includes working as a carpenter, insurance agent, and grocery store manager, and he has also worked at military, federal, state, county, and city sites.
